Vanessa started performing in English radio plays for schools when she was 8, took acting and dance lessons, and has over 20 years experience of performing, voiceovers and recording in English for advertising, documentaries and on radio. In Sweden, where she is based, clients include Ikea, Tetra Pac and TV3.
In Malta she spent ten years doing theatre on the national theatre stage, in drama, comedy, Shakespeare and pantomime. Notable roles are as Lady Teazle in Sheridan's School for Scandal, Julie Jackson in Hugh Whitmore's Pack of Lies, Elvira in Nöel Cowards Blythe Spirit, Nora in Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs, Fairy Frou Frou in the pantomime Beauty & the Beast and Chris in Brian Friel's Dancing at Lughnasa. Vanessa was also cast as Kate in the TV series Alessio.
Vanessa is one of the founding members and on the board of the newly started International Theatre of Malmö. In 2012 Vanessa appeared in their production of Vaclav Havel's Unveiling, playing Vera, and in Strindberg's The Stronger playing Madam X. In Copenhagen in 2012 Vanessa played Ruth in the CTC production of Calendar Girls at Krudttønden. Vanessa's debut with Why Not Theatre Company was as Jenny in The City, played at Bådteatret in 2013.
